Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a wedding & portrait photographer living in Prince George, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
After having all kinds of software issues last week, I am so glad to finally be getting this blog post up!! We had a wonderful wedding last weekend! Sinclair and Greg had a beautiful wedding day and were surrounded by such a sweet and fun group of people! Their day took place at some of Richmond’s gorgeous spots! They had their ceremony at St. Peter Catholic Church, went over to the capital for portraits (always stunning), then headed back to Bolling Haxall House for their reception. I can’t wait to show you some of favorite images from their day!
The girls started their day at Bolling Haxall which is where we met up with them. This house is so beautiful!! It was built in 1858 and the architecture in this house is amazing. It is very different than most places we shoot and we loved that about it! I loved that historical feel surrounding us. The dark floors, the winding staircases (there are a LOT of stairs), the beautiful furniture, all of it! Sinclair and Greg both seem to be old souls and a few people mentioned that to us throughout the day. This stunning place seemed very fitting!
If you know these two, you know how cute their story is. Sinclair’s dad shared about it at the reception (I shared a little in their engagement session here). The people in their lives are very intertwined in multiple places and they didn’t even realize it! It is one of those instances where you feel like maybe they could have met or known about each other many others ways…but somehow they didn’t. It was just destined that they would meet in a Chipotle and then be set up on a date. I totally believe that was meant to be because Chipotle had the power to bring people together! Or at least I think it does!
Something about their day that stuck out to me was – family! Their family was very involved in this day! They were a part of it from beginning to end. They incorporated them in every aspect that they could and they cherish their family so much! You will see in the photos that the centerpieces they chose to do are all teapots from Sinclair’s great-grandmother’s collection. They are gorgeous!! Sinclair had notes on each table explaining these teapots. She said that they are a source of “pure joy, comfort, and reassurance” which is the perfect thing to have as a centerpiece on your wedding day! I loved it!
Enough talk – let me show y’all the wedding! We love these two and are so excited for them!!
