Before I even met Devin, when we had only talked through email, I could tell I was going to like this girl!  We instantly felt like friends.  Once I met she & Sean and heard their story, I became even more excited for their wedding day!  First, we needed to take engagement photos, and we started these at the very place their love began.

Sean & Devin have such a sweet love story!  They met at the beginning of graduate school at VCU.  Both are about to have their Masters in Health Administration!!  They started out just as friends and stayed that way for about 6 months.  Sean & Devin both had feelings for one another but, it wasn’t until the night Devin threw a birthday party for Sean & one of their other friends that they finally decided they needed to be a couple.  Thank goodness!!

Devin & Sean had been together for almost 2 years when Sean popped the question.  Devin thought it was just a regular day.  She called Sean on her way home from work, like she always does, and they talked about their days.  When she got home, she knew she would find Sean & their yellow lab puppy, Odin, there….but wasn’t expecting what she was about to see.

Devin opened the door to music playing.  She walked in the living room to find Sean down on knee.  He was holding Odin’s collar.  Sean put the collar on Odin and sent him over to Devin, where she discovered an engagement ring box was tied to it!!!!!  I would have been a puddle on the floor!!  Sean walked over, took the ring out of the box, got down on his knee, and proposed!  That’s how it is done, gentlemen!!

I hinted on Instagram that Odin plays a vital role in this relationship and, I think being the holder of the ring makes him pretty vital.  He is also just the sweetest big baby and loves to be loved on!  Odin joined us for the engagement photos and did an amazing job!  He is definitely well loved and he adores his parents!

I can’t wait for you to see these pictures!  We started at Grant House – the VCU building where Devin & Sean met.  Then, we finished the session on the river where Odin was in his happy place!  Also, Anthony got to come along with me, which is always a treat.

Sean & Devin – We love you guys and we are so excited for all the future holds for you two!!  We can’t wait for y’alls fall wedding!
