Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a wedding & portrait photographer living in Prince George, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Summer is officially here and sessions are officially in the blazing heat!! You know who definitely hates being outside in the summertime? Pregnant women! Luckily, I was only in the early stages of pregnancy in the summer for BOTH of my babies so it never bothered me in the slightest (I know…pregnant mamas are rolling their eyes right now). But I feel for you and I know it is far from an easy task. Well, for Katie’s maternity session that we thought was going to be a scorcher because sessions in June usually are, we got super lucky!
Katie & Darryl are due to have their second baby girl next month!! They are over the moon and can’t wait to add another beautiful little lady to their family. For Katie’s maternity session, we had set the date, time, & location and we were ready to roll. Storm cloud were ready to roll, too, apparently.
We knew there was a chance of showers but they weren’t supposed to start until 8 so we went ahead with our session. Call us crazy, because those dark clouds and fierce winds came in quick but we kept snapping photos. That storm also brought with it some amazingly cool temperatures! Y’all, this June session ended up feeling amazing!! It was like the perfect spring day (minus the wind). We definitely didn’t hate it!
Photographers – reason 100 why you should always shoot in Manual and in Raw because you can’t even tell in these photos just how dark and crazy looking it was outside. I wanted it to look like a beautiful sunny day and we achieved that! You can see gorgeous blue clouds in some of the images, which was perfect!
Katie, Darryl, and Evelyn were such troopers, too! Darryl kept telling us that the storm was going to hit any moment (and he was right) and Katie was saying “let’s keep going!” Gosh, I love her for trusting me and being ready for anything! She literally stood in a field with dark clouds around her, winds blowing her hair & her dress, and the rain starting to drizzle on us while looking absolutely gorgeous! Good thing she did because I love how her photos turned out!
I had such a great time with this family! I could tell how great of parents they are because little Evelyn was so sweet, kind, and fun! She is going to be such a cute big sister!! Go ahead & take a look at this family’s session!
Katie – you are BEAUTIFUL!!
Thanks for stopping by!
