The blog has been down for a month so buckle up because I will be sharing all kinds of beautiful people over the next couple of weeks!  Im kicking things off with such an amazing wedding!  My face literally hurt from laughing & smiling on Heather & Ryan’s wedding day!  It was such a great day!  Their wedding was right here in our hometown (always a bonus) at the Barns of Kanak.  The people, the place, and everything about the day was perfect!!  

Heather & Ryan have known each other for a looooong time!  This definitely made their transition into a couple that much easier.  They fell fast and we can all see why.  They are perfect for each other!  They are both constantly smiling and laughing around one another.  Heather has a contagious laugh and very fun personality.  Ryan seems, at first, to be much more quiet and introverted…until you get to know him!  Then, his hilarious side comes out and totally catches you off guard.  

The wedding day started with everyone in separate cottages getting ready, the girls in the main house and the boys in their cottage.  You could sense the excitement and little bit of nerves everywhere.  Heather and Ryan had each written letters to one another which they read right before going out to their first look.  Just seeing Ryan grinning ear to ear, waiting for her…seeing Heather taking those deep breaths while walking up to where he was standing – it was beautiful!  Then, that moment when we all hold our breath, Heather tells him to turn around, and Ryan’s face lights up because his bride – the love of his life – is standing there and it’s their wedding day!! Ah!  What a feeling!!

Heather had told me that photos were her favorite part of the day and they wanted lots of pictures together (my favorite thing to hear!).  They both do amazing with it because they are so natural together!!  They got to spend time walking around the venue, holding hands, snuggling close, taking photos together before all of their guests and family arrived.  We joined up with their wedding party for awhile, who were such a great group to be around!!  You could tell everyone was just having so much fun together!  That is what these days are about, celebrating love and having fun.

Ryan and Heather’s ceremony was in the metal barn at the back of the venue.  This is a truly beautiful option and great for an intimate feel.  It was beautiful in there!!  Heather’s grandfather performed the ceremony, making it that much more special for the two of them.   Then, everyone went over to the main barn for the reception, which is stunning!  Seriously, this is such a beautiful, classy venue.  The table settings all had vintage plates at them that made the you feel at home.  That was a really sweet touch!
