Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
April showers have definitely been happening this year but they can’t stop a wedding day!! Lauryn & Ian had such a beautiful wedding this past Saturday and we were so excited to be a part of it! You may have seen their engagement session from this summer out at Randolph Macon. That school is so special to them because, not only did they graduate from there, but they met there and their chemistry was instant.
After officially meeting one night, Lauryn knew they would be together. Ian said that Lauryn was intimidating yet funny and everything he ever wanted. They knew right away that they wouldn’t want to ever live life without each other. Saturday, they made it official that they would never have to!
Ian & Lauryn’s wedding took place at Virginia Crossings Hotel. This place is gorgeous!! It’s very classy and has a beautiful historic look to it. It feels a little like a college campus with its large brick buildings and white columns.
The rain started early on Saturday morning and continued, on & off, all day. No one seemed to mind at all, though! The wedding is obviously happening either way, but it is always refreshing to see couples so calm about it. They just wanted to get married! So, on a day when there was a 100% chance of showers – the rain stopped. STOPPED! Just in time, too! So the gorgeous floral arrangement went outside, the wet seats got wiped off, and it was go time.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful courtyard. Ian was giddy with excitement seeing his bride walk towards him. Lauryn was all the emotions and even tried to cover her face with her bouquet, which made Ian laugh. The ceremony was perfect! Then, the sun even peeked out during their portraits and we were all so happy!!
The night ended with a delicious dinner and lots of amazing dancing. The live band kept everyone on the dance floor all night!! Except for when they wanted a slice of yummy cake or some ice cream from the adorable gelato cart. This cart is attached to a bike…y’all!! I’m obsessed!!!
Lauryn & Ian – Congratulations on your marriage!! We LOVED being a part of your day and wish you two the very best!!
