Happy Friday!!  I hope you have had a great week!  If you are on the east coast, then you have probably had an amazing glimpse of hope into spring weather…thank the Lord!!  Now…for today…I can’t wait for you all to see this entire session!  Let me start with that fact that I love these two!  Jeff & Shelly are such fun, wonderful people and we are truly lucky to have them as great friends of ours!!  This little baby boy is going to seriously melt everyones hearts, I just know it, and seeing them as parents is going to be the best!

It literally feels like last fall that we were at this very same venue shooting Shelly & Jeff’s wedding day!!  I can’t believe it has been just over 3 years.  To come back to the place that they said their vows, exchanged rings, celebrated with everyone they loved…and now take their maternity photos…talk about a tear jerker!! 

If you have never walked the grounds at Shirley Plantation, it is gorgeous!  There is a long drive down the dirt road, past all the fields, leading to the house.  Then, it opens up to a tree lined driveway.  Behind that are multiple old, beautiful buildings and the stunning plantation home!  There are also horses and donkeys on the property, which are adorable.  The grounds are right on the water, too.  It is just an amazing place and definitely worth touring some time.  

We got to Shirley right at golden hour and it was a gorgeous day!  The weather was perfect and it wasn’t too cold (thank goodness!).  It actually felt like spring all weekend and my daughter even learned to ride her bike earlier this day (fun little bit of info for you).  We just walked around the grounds, finding the perfect light, chatting & laughing, and getting gorgeous pictures!!!  I knew these two would be super easy to photograph because they are so natural together.  

I am obsessed with how these turned out and can’t wait to show them all to you!  But more so, I can’t wait to snuggle baby Pearson!
