Today’s blog post is definitely a first for me!!  An engagement session inside of a restaurant? Absolutely!  Dixie Restaurant to be exact!  This was such a fun idea and I am just glad that Molly & David chose me to capture this exciting time in their lives.  

We all woke up to rain and dark clouds this past Saturday, which was a little worrisome to all the brides getting married that day.  However, it turned out to be beautiful and sunny with a perfect breeze blowing!  Devin & Sean could not have asked for a better day to get married.  They were both all smiles, no matter what the weather was going to be, because their life as husband and wife was about to begin.

Happy Monday!!  I’m going to need an extra cup of coffee today, folks.  Anyone else?  Between busy season for sessions & weddings, late night editing, family fun, and now a sick kid — mama is tired!  I know I’m not the only one, so let’s do our best to start this week off on a positive note!  Which is why I want to share this adorable family session with y’all.

I’ll be honest…I hated history class in school.  I did not care for it one bit!!  Now that I am an adult, I definitely find so much about our country’s history to be interesting!  Westover Plantation is one of those places that is bursting with American History.  Walking around this venue on Saturday made you feel like you were back in the eighteenth century…until you saw a car…or a person wearing normal clothes.  Basically, Ben & Carrie chose an incredible venue and we were excited to be there!

I have been meaning to share this beach maternity session for a month now!!  I know I have put photos on Instagram and Facebook but it deserves a blog post.  I am just so happy that these people live here now, instead of Louisiana..mainly because that drive is rough!  Kidding…it’s because I can now see them whenever I want!  That drive IS rough though.  

Kaitlyn & Chris are expecting their first child in a matter of weeks!!  They just finished building a new home and moving their things into it like…a week ago.  Just in time to get everything ready for baby boy to arrive!
