Everyone knows that light is one of the biggest factors in creating beautiful pictures.  It’s not a secret!  I know a lot of people that say that the time of day doesn’t matter to them and they will take pictures whenever.  I understand that and support that because we have to be able to take pretty photos at all times of day, especially in the wedding photography industry.  But…nothing…nothing..beats a good sunset session.  End of story.

If you have to choose – you choose the hour before the sun is gone!  Those last 15 minutes are pure magic!!   It is my favorite time to shoot and I am so grateful for clients who get that.  Kaitlyn and Chris made there way out to our house on a Tuesday evening to take these photos and I was geeking out the entire time!  New clients may think I’m crazy for getting that excited over their photos and the way everything comes together, but they get used to it.

Kaitlyn & Chris are expecting their first child in a matter of weeks!!  They just finished building a new home and moving their things into it like…a week ago.  Just in time to get everything ready for baby boy to arrive!

Kaitlyn is a nurse at a local hospital and works with newborn babies all day long.  She knows so much already, but having her very own is going to be a whole new world!  She and Chris are so excited!!  I love seeing them talk about it!

We had such a great time during this session.  We talked about everything from babies to dogs to pregnancy to a random plant I have growing in my yard so I needed Chris to use his forestry major skills to figure out what it is.  We laughed the entire time and I can not WAIT to see these two with their SON.

 

When you just have to laugh!!  This was so candid and I was laughing when I took it as well so I’m happy it was actually in focus!
