Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
The forecast for this past Saturday called for thunderstorms all day. We were all certain we were in for a super rainy wedding day. The dark gray clouds filled the sky when we pulled up the church, but with in 20 minutes, they were gone…and they never returned!! We started the day in Petersburg at […]
We moved to Prince George about 3 years ago. This county is very large with lots of farmland, and we love that about it! If you look at it on a map, you might not think this, but it is very “small town”. People are so polite and willing to help whenever they can. We […]
I am so excited to introduce you all to Connor! He is about to start his senior year of high school and he is just a truly genuine guy. I had never met Connor before his session and I could immediate tell how outgoing & laid back he was. He has a great sense of […]
If there is one thing I have learned this past year of business, it is that you should always be learning! Even when you think you know it all (which I definitely do not), there is always something else you can learn. I have made it a point to educate myself, whether that is through […]
Senior sessions are starting for the Class of 2018! I was excited to start this season off last week with Kaley. I have talked before about how much I love senior sessions! They are a lot fun to do, but also I just love capturing this time in their lives. So much changes during your senior year and even more changes after you graduate! This last year of high school is so important for making memories that will last a lifetime and I just really hope all of this year’s seniors soak everything in!
Most of the time you may hear people say something along the lines of “their love is like a fairytale”. In the case of Gigi & Mickey, I find that very true but I ALSO believe that their love it something out of a musical! The entire day felt like a real life musical […]
Sometimes, as a business owner…especially a rather new one..I feel like I have to say “yes” to everything. In some ways, I want to because I want to soak everything up! I want to be a part of every opportunity or take as many pictures as I possibly can. Or even help other new photographers whenever they ask! This is not always the right decision, though, so I am learning to say “no”, as gently as possible!
I think that this concept applies to everyone, just as a human being. We have to learn that “no” is not a bad word! Saying “yes” to every situation or opportunity can lead to great new things, or it can lead to exhaustion and potential hurt your business & clients.
There is not a more fitting week for this wedding to have taken place than the week of Independence Day. Evan & Sydney had a beautiful wedding at Evan’s family’s home church, we took pictures at a local plantation home, then celebrated for the rest of the evening at the Lee Club on Fort Lee. We had only ever met Sydney & Evan through a FaceTime call, back in the winter, but we had never met in person due to them living in other states. They are the type of people that make you instantly feel like you are friends with them! Their friends are the same way, so the entire day was so much fun!
We spent Saturday celebrating Zach & Elizabeth! It was a perfect day! The girls spent the morning hanging out, getting fancy, and listening to country music. The guys spent the morning relaxing, played a little golf, and some even took a swim in the pool (can we just agree that men have it easier on wedding days?). The calm and chill vibe of the morning is exactly how I see Zach and Elizabeth. When they are together, they seem so at ease and comfortable, yet laughing & joking with each other the whole time.
Let me just be honest…these two are amazing!! Shawn & Stacy are the type of couple that you know are meant to be together the moment you meet them. They just work perfectly. They are just SO natural. From the way he looks at her, to the way she speaks to him, to the way they just fit together effortlessly. They also have this way about them that makes you want to be friends with them! Then, to top it off, they are one good looking couple! Basically, I was squealing the entire way through their engagement session out at Upper Shirley Vineyard!
