I’m excited to introduce y’all to this wonderful couple!!  Meet Kevin & Joanna!  They are going to be getting married this coming September at Sabot at Stony Point.  Whenever I talk with them about their big day, I just get more and more impatient for it to get here because it is going to be a blast!!

Let me tell you a little about these two love birds.  I immediately felt like I was friends with Joanna the day we started emailing back & forth.  You could basically tell what a sweet and fun personality she had through the computer.  All my thoughts were confirmed when I met she & Kevin for coffee because I just loved them!  What I also really love is their story!  They have a great one…

Joanna & Kevin met through a mutual friend who introduced them to one another at a concert.  It wasn’t long before they started dating!  About a year later, Joanna moved to NYC for her job so she & Kevin decided it would be best to take some time apart.  They kept in contact because..they were crazy about each other!!  They just weren’t technically a couple.  Well, that lasted all of 6 months and Kevin couldn’t stand it anymore!  He needed to be near Joanna so, he took a leap!  Kevin called Joanna up and told her that he wanted to move to NYC to be with her.  How romantic, am I right?!  Take note, gentlemen!  This is a man who knows what he wanted and he held nothing back.

Of course, Joanna was over the moon!  All of that was 4 years ago and now they are getting married!  Kevin even proposed to Joanna in such a romantic way!  They were walking on a pier at night by the river in Brooklyn, overlooking the beautiful Manhattan skyline.  He took Joanna completely by surprised when he started telling her how he felt and then dropped to one knee.  Ummmmm, yes please!!  Excellent work, Kevin!

For their session, Kevin & Joanna flew in from NYC the night before.  They had a whirlwind weekend of friends, family, wedding meetings, and engagement photos.  We had an awesome time walking around Libby Hill and then going down to the river at Pony Pasture.  Despite the heat & the 100% humidity that day, these two made the shoot effortless.  I am so happy for them and excited to see them become husband & wife in just a few short months.
