In the words of the Lanco, these two are going to be “the greatest love story this town has ever seen”!  Seriously – I just love them!  I love their story, I love the way they laugh together, I love how they are happier around each other – everything!  This past weekend, Amanda and Wesley got married and it was such a beautiful day!  Just like any other wedding day, it felt like it took forever to get here but, then again, it came so quickly.  The difference in this couple and most other couples is that Wesley was not able to be here for any of the wedding planning!  He actually flew in 2 days before saying “I do”.

Let me give you a little back story.  Amanda and Wesley started dating in high school.  Last summer, while Wesley & Amanda were still just dating, Wesley was gone for training with the Marines.  Amanda went to a cookout at his family’s home on July 4th, even though her boyfriend wouldn’t be there (she was already a part of the family basically).  She had no clue that Wesley had arranged to be home for a few days.  While at the cookout, she is TOTALLY surprised by him not only walking in, but PROPOSING TO HER!  I seriously teared up at this story!  What a romantic!  A few days later, he is back at training, states away from Amanda.

Distance didn’t do anything for this couple, except make them stronger and more crazy about each other!  Over the past 1.5 years of their relationship, they have maybe seen each other a total of 30 days.  To say they were ready to be husband and wife is an understatement.  More than anything, they just wanted to be together.

I didn’t actually get to meet Wesley until their wedding day!  {Technically, I met him the night before when I happened to be at the same restaurant as them, which was hilarious, but that’s besides the point}.  Even though I hadn’t met him, I felt like I knew him because Amanda had told me all about him.  Then, the moment I saw them lock eyes at that ceremony, I could feel it.  EVERYONE could!  He is crazy about her and she is madly in love with him!  The joy on their faces…seeing each other in that church…getting ready to say their vows…knowing that they got to leave together and didn’t have to say goodbye again..y’all, it was priceless!  I was tearing up.  Then, I took one look at both of the mamas and I was a mess, too.

This day was amazing and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them!!  The forecast called for thunderstorms literally all day long, but it only rained when we didn’t need to be outside!  The sun shone right when we needed it to and the rain came when we were inside.  I would say God was looking out for us!

Wesley & Amanda – we love you two and are SO happy for y’all!  We wish y’all nothing but the best – so much happiness and lots of adventures!!!
