Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Blog posts are going to be popping up left and right over the next couple weeks – prepare yourselves! Between senior sessions, mini sessions, and a fun event I went to this past week (seriously, amazing), I have so much to share!! However, I am behind on posting this awesome guy’s senior photos and his session definitely deserves a spot on the blog! I met Benjamin a couple weeks ago and I instantly knew we were going to have fun. Most seniors need a little bit of time to warm up to the idea of this crazy girl telling them how to pose, where to look, when to smile, when to laugh, and whatever else – especially the guys. About mid-way through the session, they are usually anticipating what I am going to ask for. Benjamin didn’t need any warm up time! He didn’t mind my silly ways and he could go from a full on laugh to a blue steel serious look in half a second.
I had never met Benjamin before but I could tell he was an awesome kid right away. You know how they say you can tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his mother? It is true! Benjamin and his mom, Karen, were laughing & joking together the whole time, but in the sweetest way! I could see his respect for her and how close they are (I don’t know if teenagers care about that but I give him serious points for it!). Benjamin is the youngest of 4 and you can tell because he is full of personality – and its an awesome one! I mean, how many teenage boys can pull off suspenders or an American flag bow-tie with full confidence? I don’t know ANY…other than this guy!
We had so much fun just walking around town, talking about school, finding cool locations, and talking about how hungry we were after smelling Brickhouse Run, Saucy’s, and Croaker’s Spot food surrounding us the entire time. Word of advice, if you are taking pictures in Old Town, eat FIRST that way you’re stomach isn’t growling because of the delicious restaurants around you. OR go out to eat as soon as you are done!
I hope you enjoy looking through Benjamin’s senior pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
I was all about his hairstyle, not going to lie!
These pictures were taken in the first minute of the session – I knew it was going to be a good time!
Favorite!!!!
To say he crushed his session is an understatement.
These pictures were taken as an inside joke with his family but we loved them!
SO sweet! I hope my Mason is still this close with me when he is a senior!
This won’t be the last time you see Benjamin OR his mama! His sister is one of my bride’s! You can see who she is here .
Come back soon!!
