Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Elizabeth found me simply by fate, I’m sure of it! She won a giveaway through my Facebook page a few months ago, then, through messaging back and forth, told me that she had recently gotten engaged!! So exciting!! One thing led to another and here we are! Elizabeth had also told me that finding a date to do engagement pictures would be tricky because Zach is a football coach. It is RARE for him to have a free evening in the fall so we jumped at the one weekend he had a night off! And where else would we meet up but….a football field!
We knew we were in for a great night when they asked to start the evening at a football field. This is such a huge part of their lives so it was only fitting to incorporate it into their engagement pictures! Plus, Zach and Elizabeth are all for having fun so that is exactly what we did (as you can see from Zach picking Elizabeth up and running around the field). We just LOVED it! Elizabeth and Zach told us all about how they got engaged while fishing one afternoon. Zach had hidden a note saying “Will You Marry Me?” in the tackle box for Elizabeth to find. She was totally shocked (and had looked in the box TOO SOON) and turned around to see Zach RUNNING over to get down on one knee!! We were cracking up hearing Zach tell this story!
After the football field, we made our way down to City Point Waterfront. As we pulled up, people were starting to leave which meant we had the dock and most of the rock/beach area to ourselves. However, we did see our share of strange activity including two grown men dressed up as SpiderMan and a Power Ranger pretending to fight each other with sticks…what has this world come to and why didn’t I take a picture of THAT? We had only been on the dock for maybe a minute before I told Zach that I didn’t know why he was so worried about this session because they were both naturals! He said, “It’s easy when I’m looking at her.” They both just laughed (which made for my favorite picture) but that is true for all my grooms. They love looking at the woman who is about to become their wife! Plus, it makes for beautiful pictures! It is also one of the things I LOVE about my job! I get to meet amazing couples and see their love for each other by the way they interact, the way they talk to each other, joke with each other, and look at each other!
I’m so excited for Zach & Elizabeth’s beautiful June wedding! It is going to be so much fun!
Did I mention how fun these two are?
There is a strong chance that this is my favorite!!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed looking through some of my favorite
