Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
You may remember seeing Travis and Anna’s Yorktown engagement session on the blog last month and now, here they are, MARRIED! Saturday was the perfect day! The weather stayed beautiful all day, despite all the talk of rain and wind. We did get lots of wind off of the water but, when you see their portraits, you will know why we were very thankful for it (hint: her flowy dress)!
Anna met with me back in December to first discuss her wedding day. She was still brainstorming a lot of ideas so I remember us talking about many different things that could look great or might work with her vision. Seeing it all come together was like a dream! All that she had talked about and hoped for just came to life in the best way possible!!
Travis, Anna, and their families spent the weekend at this gorgeous, waterfront home. Family and friends did everything for this wedding and made it the best day ever! When we arrived on Saturday, we saw parents, siblings, and grandparents all over the property taking care of flower arrangements, stringing lights, setting up tables…anything that needed to be done. It was so sweet seeing everyone work together for Travis and Anna! Their family just loves them so much (which was obvious when parents & siblings were ALL in tears during the ceremony and dances) and have all seen these two grow in their love for one another since high school!
You may notice that Travis and Anna chose not to have a wedding party. Don’t be mistaken though….there was NO shortage of friends or family present at their wedding! It was filled with people who love and adore them! They chose to do this so that everyone could just show up and enjoy themselves without having any other responsibilities. The entire day was focused simply on the love between Travis and Anna!!! Everyone was able to eat, drink, dance, and just have a great time. No wedding party also meant a lot more portrait time, which I LOVED! This location and this couple made me squeal all afternoon!! I would elaborate but, you really just need to go look at their portraits for yourself and you will understand my excitement!
So enough talk and let’s get to what you actually came to see!
Anna & Travis wrote letters to one another in their vow books. Cue all the tears!
The clouds rolled in and made us all think it was going to storm. It never stormed but we got to keep the beautiful clouds!
A sweet moment before their sister walks down the aisle.
I had made it the entire day without tears…until then this happened. Travis & Anna each gave the other one’s mother their ring. During the ceremony, Anna’s mom gave Travis the ring for her daughter and Travis’ mom gave Anna the ring for her son. This was such a beautiful & special moment that truly symbolized these parents supporting the love their children have for one other and the marriage they are entering in to. Then, the tears just started POURING.
The view here is simply incredible.
Anna’s mama and sisters were all so emotional during the father/daughter dance! I loved it!
These fried oyster tacos were SO good!! Seriously!!
And this is why I always suggest sunset portraits….double the portraits and double the gorgeous shots!
Thank you for taking a look at Anna & Travis’ gorgeous day! We were so blessed to be a part of it and had SUCH a fun time!!!
XOXO
Caiti
