If there is one thing I have learned this past year of business, it is that you should always be learning!  Even when you think you know it all (which I definitely do not), there is always something else you can learn.  I have made it a point to educate myself, whether that is through webinars, blog posts I am reading, people I am talking to, or even attending workshops.

I am FINALLY blogging my workshop experience from June with Katelyn James!  This was a workshop that I had been wanting to attend for years!  My husband has heard me say time & time again how badly I want to attend one of Katelyn’s workshops but those things just fill up so quickly!  When the opportunity came that I could snag a spot for the June workshop, I snatched it up!

I knew this experience would be amazing but I did NOT expect it to be all that it was!  IT WAS INCREDIBLE!  Katelyn & Michael are definitely two very special people.  They both have such servant hearts and a desire to teach & bless other people.  Their view on life and business is so refreshing and eye opening!  From the moment I walked in their home, I felt so welcomed and at ease.  I know that I can speak for every girl at that workshop when I say that we felt like one big family.  There is something about this business that makes you instantly feel connected to other people with in it.  It only took minutes before we were cuddled up on the couch, drinking our coffee (and stuffing our faces with all of the delicious food that Emily & Momma James made!)!!  We were open books to one another, about business as well as our personal lives.  We all laughed hysterically and even sobbed while pouring our hearts out.

Aside from all of the wonderful connections and friendships made, Katelyn poured so much knowledge in to all of us!  This girl has got a gift!  LOTS of gifts, to be honest!  Katelyn is an incredible photographer – this is a known fact.  She has an eye for photography that I honestly believe can NOT be taught.  Seeing the excitement in her face while doing what she loves was so fun!  Outside of her photography skills, God has blessed her with such an ability & desire to teach!  I learned SO much from her in those two days about running a business, working with your spouse, client experience, design, collaboration, as well as photography.

After leaving the workshop, I still have a huge action list of things I need/want to do and it will take awhile to get through it but I have a new drive & desire!  Katelyn gave me so much positive feedback, support, and encouragement, my heart could not have been happier!  I made new friends and I am loving seeing their businesses grow & flourish since this experience, as well.

When you see this picture and think “that is too many people trying to shoot at once” – DONT!  Every girl at this workshop was a SWEETHEART!  We were taking turns, constantly moving for others to have a chance, and everyone was SO selfless.  Such an amazing group of ladies!
