Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Sean and Stacey have a love story that I KNOW will be told over and over!! These two met while going to school at this very college we took their engagement pictures – Richard Bland College. Nothing sparked between them while they were there – they were just friends and hung out with the same crowd. Well, fast forward 20 YEARS to one night at a VCU basketball game. Before we go any further, I need to give you some more background information. Stacey is a real deal VCU basketball fan. She was actually wearing a Rams shirt the first time I met her for coffee! She let me know about her love for them right away, but that Sean is NOT a VCU fan. However, Sean IS a sportscaster for CBS 6 News. Out of ALL the games that Stacey went to and ALL the games that Sean covered, they never crossed paths. Not until one night, 20 years after they met at Richard Bland, when they were both at a Rams basketball game.
Stacey had received a friend request on Facebook from Sean weeks before this game but never confirmed or denied it (I find this hilarious!!). So, while at the basketball game with her friend, she looks down at the court side, and who does she see but Sean! Sean was covering that game and Stacey noticed that he had grown up quite a bit and she did not mind at all! He definitely caught her attention and that friend request was ACCEPTED!
One thing led to another and they were both hooked! There was NO denying how perfect they were for each other (despite their love for different sports teams)! Sean wasn’t going to let Stacey slip away this time so he popped the question on her BIRTHDAY! What an amazing gift, right?! Their engagement was even announced live on the news that evening. Click here to see it.
I met them last week for this engagement session and we had the best time! Stacey figured Sean would be a natural at this but I was blown away by BOTH of them! They were so natural and had lots of fun! We talked all about their story and their wedding day. They would reminisce about their college days as we walked past where their classes were. I loved it! Their wedding day can’t come soon enough!!
Very nice Stacey and Sean. I enjoyed your story and look forward to hearing more about your journey until you become husband and wife. The pictures were great. God’s blessing for you both.
[…] not going to get in to all of it today but you can read more about it on their other blog posts here & here. Seriously, if you don’t know about them, read it! It has to do with college, […]
