Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
If you saw these two and thought that may look familiar, that’s because we photographed their wedding back at the very beginning on September! Meagan & Roc’s wedding was amazing and SO much fun!! However, with work and busy summer schedules, the Barber’s asked about doing a couples session after the wedding rather than an engagement session. I had never done that before and thought that sounded like such a fun idea!!
We decided to do a fall photo session in RVA because Richmond is gorgeous in fall! I swear, Virginia was meant for fall. It is the most beautiful time of year here! But it happens quick, as we all know. One day it is 80 degrees and all the leaves are green…the next day it is 50 degrees and all the leaves are falling off the trees. It happens overnight! No lie. Luckily, all the stars aligned for this session to have perfect weather and beautiful yellow leaves – all the things you want for your fall photos!
Roc and Meagan met me bright and early for a sunrise session and they didn’t mind one bit! Their work schedules have them working strange hours usually so they are used to being up early or even up all night. Plus, an early session meant that we had the park mostly all to ourselves – with the exception of people walking their puppies!
This session was so much fun for us all! I hardly ever get to see my couples this soon after their wedding day and I have never gotten to photograph any this soon afterwards either. I loved getting to see them, hear about the honeymoon & married life. Also, I felt like I had JUST been photographing them so it was all so natural. They went right into the session with ease!!
Another reason that I am really glad we got to do this session is that…it literally poured during their portrait time at their wedding. I’m talking – a thunderstorm with a sideways downpour of rain. It started raining as they were walking down the aisle to leave their ceremony and didn’t stop until right before their sparkler exit. You would never have known though because they both had smiles and positive attitudes the entire time! And they nailed their portrait time under the awning! But I’m so glad I could give them photos outside in the sunshine!
I hope you enjoy looking through this session!! Meagan & Roc – I love yall!!
