Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Saturday was amazing and we loved every second of it!!! Ryan & Brooke have such a sweet love story! It reminded Anthony & I of our own in a way – best friends turned husband & wife. Brooke and Ryan became friends when Brooke was around 13. She said that she told her mom all the way back then that she would marry Ryan one day. They both stayed best friends throughout their school years and they were always there for one another through anything and everything. Ryan was her person long before they realized it.
When they both figured out they were meant for each other, the world stepped aside because nothing could stop these two! I think their family and friends all let out a sigh of relief when they finally became a couple. Their relationship began in the best way possibly, though. Knowing each other for so long and being best friends for years (especially through those awful teenage years) meant that they knew everything about one another – the good and the bad.
During their ceremony, Ryan told Brooke that she was home to him. She was his safe place…and he is hers. Forever! When they are together, they light up. Their true personalities and best selves shine through! Everyone can see it.
Their wedding day was nothing short of wonderful! Seriously. We left that night just so, so happy!! This was our first Outer Banks wedding so we were already pretty over the moon about it. I mean…I got to use sea shells during detail shots, not wear shoes during the ceremony, and we saw dolphins during the sunset portraits! Aside from that – the really magical part of the day was the people.
You can plan for a wedding for months and years, but the people who surround you and support you on that day are what truly matters. Without that, it is just a bunch of decorations. Brooke and Ryan were surrounded by people who love them fiercely and truly support this marriage. People who will hold them accountable and stand by them for years to come. People who have prayed over this marriage and love them so much!
They said their vows with their toes in the sand, standing under a beautiful driftwood arbor, walked the beach at sunset holding hands, had their first dance while overlooking the ocean, and danced the night away with the people they love most. I would say it was a perfect day! Take a look for yourself….
