First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage!  Marc & Laura are good friends of ours and also one of our couples from 2016.  We just love these two and loved getting to be their wedding photographers!!  When we found out they were pregnant – I screamed!!  All of our friends were over the moon excited for them!

Everything was great with Laura’s pregnancy until 28 weeks.  Her blood pressure started having a lot of issues.  She was admitted to the hospital and things started getting better…until they weren’t.  The morning of November 18, Laura & Marc were told that they would be having a baby that day – 12 weeks before her due date.

Meet Olivia.  This beautiful baby girl is the definition of a fighter.  Coming into this world at only 2 pounds 4 ounces, she had a lot of odds against her.  Olivia was covered in tubes with machines helping her stay alive.  She developed MRSA, had to be treated for that, and even had to have a spinal tap.  Her tiny body stayed strong and fought it all off, to the point that she even came home earlier than we all expected.

After 2 months of being in the hospital, she was able to go home.  Since then, she has been growing and thriving!  Olivia is now 10.5 pounds!  She has so much personality, already!  She let me snuggle her and hold her during a cat nap.  We got lots of sweet pictures of her in her crib and loving on her mom & dad.  We also included her favorite stuffed animals – her lambs from an amazing company called Cuddle + Kind.  For every stuffed animal or doll you buy, 10 meals get donated to a child in need.

{Side Note – The NICU nurses at St. Francis were AMAZING!  Marc & Laura both have said how much they love those women who took such amazing care of their baby and are so thankful for them.}
