Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week and I haven’t accomplished half of what I planned to but that’s okay – right? I hope so because that’s life! What I am getting done, though, is showing y’all this beautiful engagement session!! We had quite a different backdrop than we usually have. No wheat fields or country side for this session. We met Kaley & Peter at the National Mall in Washington D.C. So FUN!
Kaley & Peter live and work up there so they are familiar with the area. Kaley is born & raised just outside of DC. Peter is a Texas boy so, I don’t know how he made that switch to the city life so easily, but he did! And we are all glad for it because it led him to the beautiful Kaley!
These two are straight up gems! They are so kind hearted and easy going. I feel like you can just see how genuine and nice they are through these photos. Is that a thing? Because it should be! I got to take Anthony with me for this session, which is always a fun time, and the four of us had a blast together!
Peter & Kaley met and started dating over 3 years ago. They actually met online and their first date was to a play that Kaley was reviewing for her job at the time. They have literally been together ever since! Then, last April…in the cherry blossom trees as they were in full bloom…Peter popped the question!! I wish I could have seen that moment because I’m sure it was beautiful!! Kaley obviously said yes and now they are just months away from being husband and wife! Ah! We can’t wait!!
So, for this session, we met at the Lincoln Memorial to kick things off. It was a Saturday evening and a lot was going on in the city on this particular day so things were BUSY! Somehow, we made it happen, jumping around whenever people weren’t walking by. It was pretty comical! These two are such troopers for doing all of that! I love how all of those photos turned out at the memorial and how stunning these two looked!
After that, we took a little stroll into the park and found this big pond with a view of the Washington Monument behind it. There were park benches, willow trees, and gorgeous views all around! We stayed there for the rest of the session and it was perfect! We had so many laughs and so much fun. I am really excited to get to head back up there in September when these two say their vows. It is going to be amazing!!!
I hope you love looking through this session!
Kaley & Peter – Y’all are AWESOME and I love that y’all chose me to do these pictures for you!! See y’all soon!!
Thanks for stopping by!
XOXO
