Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
A couple weeks ago, we were away at the beach on our family vacation. We had the best time! I am going to be blogging the pictures I took that week soon, for sure. My brother & his family traveled down for their own family vacation the weekend we were leaving, but we overlapped a day so we planned family pictures for all of us! Sean & Meghan are also in the photography business, as well as do videography (we got to all 4 do a wedding together this summer, for the first time, and LOVED IT), so of course we swap photo sessions when we can. Perks of having family in the industry, right?
The weather during the week we were in Nags Head was not the best. We only had a couple days of sunshine, and Saturday morning (the day we were supposed to do our pictures) was cloudy & rainy. But…as I say…a rainy day at the beach is better than a rainy day NOT at the beach so we were cool with it! By early afternoon though, the rain had stopped and we were just left with clouds so pictures were a go! Luckily, the cloudy day meant that the beach was emptier than usual.
We all know how important family pictures are and we definitely try to get some as often as we can because kids are constantly changing! The pictures we take of our children one day will look so different than the ones we take a few months later. This is especially true with babies, like little Eden. Eden just turned one at the end of June and she is changing every single day. She is looking & acting more and more like a toddler and learning new things all the time.
Pictures on the beach with children can be challenging too because…well..sand and water. They will get wet and the sand may end up in their mouths! We knew this and we all wanted to capture the kids playing! We WANT to see them having fun at the beach and being themselves. I love family sessions like this! I love capturing families as they are, showcasing all the personalities. Plus, I just love this family – obviously – so these photos are so special to me. My brother and I have been super close all of our lives. Getting married and having children only brought us closer, and now our children are best friends!! All of my kids cousins are their best friends, from both sides of the family, and we are so blessed by this!
So, enough talk, here are some shots from Sean & Meghan’s family session with them their crazy adorable kids – Aly, Graham, and Eden. Also – you can check out their business by clicking here — The Pyle’s.
One of my FAVES!
Also, a favorite!! Love these girls!
Just look at Graham’s face?! I melt!
And a behind-the-scenes shot, of course!
Thanks for stopping by!
