You guys…wedding season is literally right around the corner and, I don’t know about you, but I am getting so anxious!!  A good anxious!  I don’t think I will ever NOT feel that way, and I hope I always do.  Right before any session I get that nervous/excited feeling, just because every session is different, every client is different, and I am excited to see the beautiful images we are about to take!  Also, I just love getting to know my clients more!

Lindsey and Cory met with me a few weeks ago for out initial wedding consult.  I immediately loved them (and I know you will too)!  I quickly wanted to know how they met and how they started dating.  Friends…Cory is a brave one.  He was scrolling through his Facebook feed one day and saw a picture someone had posted that had this gorgeous girl in it.  He didn’t know her, they had never met – NOTHING.  He needed to meet her though.  He immediately sent her a message…on Facebook…saying he wanted to go on a date with her.  When you don’t know someone or have their number, this is how you do it these days.  So Lindsey gets the message, and is a little taken back by it (who wouldn’t be…I told him it would have creeped me out!).  Lindsey was totally open minded though, after a little encouragement from her friend, and she said YES!   These two went on a date and have been together since!  Crazy.  I was just laughing listening to this story!!  If Cory had just kept scrolling, even though he thought this girl was breathtaking, they never would have gone on that date!!  When you know what you want, you have got to go for it, right?  I love it!!  5 years later and here there are…engaged, after a magical proposal under all the lights at ChristmasTown!!  Seriously, how romantic!

Meeting a couple for coffee and hearing their story is one thing, but seeing them interact together is different.  Within one minute, I told them that I knew I was going to love this whole session because their love for each other was OBVIOUS!  The way Cory looks at her, the way Lindsey giggles at him.  I was done!  They probably thought I was so silly because I was just LOVING every picture!  Their fall plantation wedding is going to be stunning and I can not wait to see Lindsey as a bride!!  Can’t you just picture it?!  Until then, here is the downtown Richmond engagement session!

When this is taken in the first couple minutes of your session, you know it will be a good one.
