Saturday kicked off spring wedding season and we had the perfect wedding to do just that!  Justin & Maggie are seriously (no joke) two of the most genuine, kind, and authentic people I have ever met.  They are who they are and everyone around them loves them for it.  They were meant for each other and you know it within minutes of meeting them!  I met them last summer for the first time and was immediately excited to get to know them more.  We all live in the same county, which is actually quite large but feels VERY small town!  If you live in Prince George, you know what I mean.  It may be a large place but everyone knows everyone, and if they don’t, they are still connected in some way.  Maggie & Justin have SO many friends and family that love them and support them, and…good grief..it truly showed on Saturday!  Talk about the water works (I am included in that!).

We started the day at Maggie’s parents home.  It felt so special because every one there was family or a best friend.  She had her mom, sisters-in-law, friends, aunt, and niece all spending the morning with her.  You could feel the excitement!  Having Maggie get ready at her parents was just so special, too.  Something about being in her childhood home, surrounded by pictures from all throughout her life, with her loved ones…it makes me tear up even now!  The ladies spent the morning just taking their time and taking it all in.  No one was rushed or anxious, it was just so calm & enjoyable.

The weather was supposed to be awful all day Saturday.  They were calling for rain and thunderstorms starting in the morning, as well as possible hail.  On a wedding day, you just have to roll with it!  Maggie said she wasn’t going to worry because there wasn’t anything she could do to change it so why waste her time!  We knew that she and Justin would be getting married – rain or shine – and that is all that mattered!  The rain held out all morning and early afternoon, then..just in time for the ceremony, the showers came!  No one even cared though.  Bring on the rain!

Justin & Maggie’s ceremony was simply beautiful!  They had a small, intimate ceremony with only family and very close friends.  The moment those doors opened and we could all see the love & happiness in Justin & Maggie’s faces, the tears started falling!  People were wiping their eyes throughout the entire ceremony (me, included!).   Those beautiful emotions continued on throughout the day.  After the ceremony, we went over to Justin’s sister’s house, just down the road, to do portraits at her home (country front porches for the WIN because it was still pouring!).   There were NO forced smiles for these pictures because everyone was full of joy!  I mean, they even stood in the pouring rain under their umbrella’s for pictures!  My kind of couple!

The reception was where ALL of the friends and family came to celebrate this wedding day!  People were so happy to see Justin & Maggie and get the party started!  After a little while though, the celebration went outside where a local band, Bustin’ Loose, took the stage.  This band is SO crazy good!  They covered some of the best songs and had everyone on the dance floor for HOURS!  Go ahead and take a look at the pictures to see all the fun everyone was having!
