Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
There is not a more fitting week for this wedding to have taken place than the week of Independence Day. Evan & Sydney had a beautiful wedding at Evan’s family’s home church, we took pictures at a local plantation home, then celebrated for the rest of the evening at the Lee Club on Fort Lee. We had only ever met Sydney & Evan through a FaceTime call, back in the winter, but we had never met in person due to them living in other states. They are the type of people that make you instantly feel like you are friends with them! Their friends are the same way, so the entire day was so much fun!
Back to this being a fitting week – Evan is a marine. He flies fighter jets. I am the least qualified person to actually say what he does or explain it at all because I know nothing about it (other than what I watch in movies, which obviously is not accurate). Evan is not one to brag about his accomplishments or what he does. His family, however, is so proud of the man he is and all he has accomplished at such a young age! Multiple people bragged about him to us. They also bragged on Sydney! Sydney has been going to nursing school, full time, throughout their engagement – while planning a wedding! She literally finished RIGHT before the wedding day! She is also a certified diver (so awesome!!) and loves going diving all over, with her dad. Then, there is me…who wont go passed me knees in the ocean because I am afraid of all the things that live in it. Sydney is way more adventurous than me!
Evan & Sydney enjoyed their wedding day tremendously, but they also were realizing how bittersweet it was. They are about to leave to be stationed in Japan. It is such a great opportunity for Evan and they are truly excited about it, but they are very close with their family. Sydney’s sister could not hold back the sobs during her speech when she brought up Japan. She is so happy for them but devastated that her best friend is moving across the world. I know their family & friends are already counting down until they can see Evan & Sydney again.
Everyone needed this day as a celebration for Evan and Sydney’s love for each other, as well as a “see you soon” send off to them. I loved seeing them dance, sing, and have a great time with the people they love most. I am so excited for what God has planned for their lives! For now, here are some pictures from their beautiful wedding day! Enjoy!
Sydney & Evan – Thank you both SO much for letting us be the ones to capture this day for you and give you these memories that will last a lifetime! You are two very beautiful & special people and we are SO happy for you both!!
I put a lot more dancing pictures than normal in this blog post but I could not resist!!
Do you recognize these two? David & Erin are one of our CG Couples! They got married last September!
XOXO – Caiti
