Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
It is officially engagement session….and fall!!! This was my first session of the year where the leaves were changing, t00, and we all loved it! For Kari & Daniel’s engagement pictures, we knew we wanted to do them in Richmond. That is where these two live and they love it there. The city has so many beautiful places and we wanted to showcase a couple of those.
I had already met Daniel & Kari months ago over coffee and we all clicked. I knew I wanted them as one of my couples within minutes and I was so glad that they wanted to book with me, too. I loved hearing them tell me all about how they started dating because it wasn’t super easy for them. First, they met 4 years ago through a small group at church but it was through volunteering at a hospital ministry that they really got to know one another. They went on their first date shortly after this, but then Kari just wasn’t too sure they clicked. A year went by before they decided to give it another try. Things lasted a little longer, but with careers needing their attention, they decided to break up.
Finally, summer of 2016, they both realized they needed to be together and everything fell in place! Kari said that it only took her a few months this time to realize she wanted to marry Daniel and has no clue how they didn’t see it sooner! They dated for a year and then Daniel knew he needed this beautiful girl in his life forever! He popped the question while they were picking sunflowers this past summer and Kari immediately said YES!
Now they are heavy in to wedding planner and buying a home together so life is busy but we had a great time slowing down to walk around RVA and take some pictures. We had to quickly switch locations at the beginning because a festival was happening where we originally planned to go. Then, we arrived at Chimborazo Park to find a wedding happening so we stayed to the opposite side of the park. Finally, while ending the night at Rockett’s Landing (who doesn’t love those sunsets!!?), a bride & groom arrived for their reception.
Just another day in Richmond, right? There is always something going on and that is a big reason why people love this city of ours.
We all had such a great evening and I am so excited for their June wedding!! It is going to be a beautiful!!
XOXO
Caiti
Thank you Caiti! We love them all! It’s going to be hard to pick which ones to display in our new home!!!
Dear Nephew and Beautiful Kari,
Congratulations and best wishes! The pictures are beautiful. We can only feel an immense happiness that is beyond words for Daniel and you. God bless you.
