Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Everyone who had a wedding in Virginia on Saturday knows that it was literally the perfect day for a wedding! Fall has hit and the air had a crispness to it. The leaves are changing and falling, giving the perfect backdrop for photos. Beyond that – we got to celebrate on this perfect day with such a wonderful couple!! There were tears of joy and so much laughter! If you know Clare & Geordie, you know how fun they are and their wedding wasn’t anything short of a great time.
This same week last year was when I took Geordie & Clare’s engagement photos and we had such a great time! It was just a tease to then have to wait a full year for their wedding day. It was well worth the wait! Their family and friends all came together to help give them the best day of their lives! From the decorations to food to set up to clean up, their loved ones really showed how much they care for them by giving time, energy, and talents to bring everything together. During the reception, her daddy said “I use to be able to give Clare a look and she could burst in to tears,” (that is parenthood for you), “but now, I can look at her or hear her sing and it is me who can burst in to tears.” I was just so touched by all of the family and how much love was shown!
The entire day was full of sweet sentimental details, including the very church that they held their ceremony in. Clare’s family has been a part of that church for generations back!! Being able to say her vows there meant so much to them. She also wore her mother’s veil, which was just stunning! With so many heartfelt aspects of the day, came just as many funny ones – the primary one being the bride & groom’s dance. Those who know Geordie should expect nothing less! I have known Geordie almost since I can remember and he was always one to lighten the mood and make people laugh. When “Walk It Out” started playing during their first dance, the whole place burst out laughing!
The day finished up with hours of dancing and singing along with the band, The Dirty Runaways. They are a local country rock band and they are crazy good!! We were all so impressed! From Sweet Home Alabama to Tennessee Whiskey, they did an amazing job!
Clare & Geordie – thank you both for being such fun, sweet people and we are blessed to have gotten to capture this day for you two!
That photo is Clare’s mother and is hanging in the very room that Clare got ready & dressed
in on her own wedding day.
