Let me start this post by just saying how happy a session like this one makes me!  Carley & Nic are one of my wedding couples.  I got to take their engagement photos and then their wedding photos! It was such a fun time working with them throughout that entire year and now…now they are pregnant!!!  

Today’s blog post is covered in fall leaves and beautiful people!!!  Greg & Sinclair’s engagement session  was a ton of fun and RVA was really showing off for us that evening.  The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and we had a great time.  But what I really want to tell you about it this happy couple…and how burritos play a role in their love story.  That’s right…I said burritos.

Let me introduce y’all to Kara & Nick!  They are one of our 2019 couples – which you are meeting a lot of lately and it doesn’t stop with them, that’s for sure.  Kara and I became instant friends when we realized that we both are died hard OTH fans.  If you don’t know what that means then…you don’t get us.  Kidding.  Kind of.  Look it up. 

If you saw these two and thought that may look familiar, that’s because we photographed their wedding back at the very beginning on September!  Meagan & Roc’s wedding was amazing and SO much fun!!  However, with work and busy summer schedules, the Barber’s asked about doing a couples session after the wedding rather than an engagement session.  I had never done that before and thought that sounded like such a fun idea!!

I’m so excited to introduce you all to another one of my 2019 couples – Bill & Emily!  I couldn’t wait to meet these two!!  I felt like I knew them already since I have been chatting with Emily for months now.  We met up in Richmond by Browns Island early on a Sunday morning, which was the perfect option because it was not crowded at all!  If you’re familiar with the area, you know how rare that is.  So if you ever need to do a session there, try it around sunrise.

Happy Monday!!  Rainy, gloomy Monday.  I don’t hate it though.  I love a good rainy day.  Especially when you can sit on the couch with your coffee and a Hallmark Christmas movie playing.  That is the BEST kind.  That also happens to be what I am doing as I type this blog post right now.  I want to brighten up your rainy day, though.  Well…not me exactly, but Sydney & Tyler can!  

Let me interrupt wedding/engagement season with — a newborn session!!!  A couple months ago, I met Kaitlyn and Chris to take their maternity pictures.  In that moment, I’m sure the thought of meeting their son still felt surreal.  Having your first child is something you can try to prepare for as much as you want, but you are never truly ready for that moment.  You know the one…

Today’s blog post is definitely a first for me!!  An engagement session inside of a restaurant? Absolutely!  Dixie Restaurant to be exact!  This was such a fun idea and I am just glad that Molly & David chose me to capture this exciting time in their lives.  

We all woke up to rain and dark clouds this past Saturday, which was a little worrisome to all the brides getting married that day.  However, it turned out to be beautiful and sunny with a perfect breeze blowing!  Devin & Sean could not have asked for a better day to get married.  They were both all smiles, no matter what the weather was going to be, because their life as husband and wife was about to begin.
