Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Yesterday I posted part ONE of my Fall Mini Sessions so if you missed that, go check it out! Today – Part Two! These families are all amazing and deserve to be showed off on a blog post so I wanted to put up some images from each one of the sessions. I love mini session days allow me to see families I haven’t seen in almost a year and meet new clients who hopeful come back again & again!
Mini sessions this year were definitely some of the best ones ever! Each year gets better and better! I truly love these sessions. My favorite part of doing mini sessions is that every single one is different. Each family is full of different personalities which makes their session individual to them. I may be doing most of these photos are the same locations, but no one session looks the same. That is what makes them so special!
My goodness…I am so excited to show this couple off to all of you! I have been anticipating this engagement session for awhile! We started the afternoon on the most beautiful street in Richmond, especially in the fall, Monument Avenue! It looks like it is straight out of a movie! Gorgeous houses, leaves everywhere, and the huge median is lined with orange and yellow trees right now. After that, we made our way over to the Virginia State Capital.
Before you start looking at this gorgeous wedding, let me warn you that it is on photo overload – but for good reason!! This is definitely the most photos I have ever put in a blog post. I had so many more I wanted to add but I held back a little. That just means Shawn & Stacy will have an even better time looking through their full gallery at all the obvious AND hidden gems (their reception photos are insane!).
Have you ever been to Charlottesville during the fall? If you haven’t, just make the trip. I strongly believe that God made the mountains for the fall season because that is when they are the most beautiful! Driving through the mountainside of Charlottesville when the leaves are changing…there is nothing like it! It will take your breath away. Even my 6 year old and 3 year old commented on how pretty it was and just sat in silence (for like a minute, because let’s be honest).
Everyone who had a wedding in Virginia on Saturday knows that it was literally the perfect day for a wedding! Fall has hit and the air had a crispness to it. The leaves are changing and falling, giving the perfect backdrop for photos. Beyond that – we got to celebrate on this perfect day with such a wonderful couple!! There were tears of joy and so much laughter! If you know Clare & Geordie, you know how fun they are and their wedding wasn’t anything short of a great time.
This perfect fall session may have left me wanting to have another baby! That sounds super weird, doesn’t it? Let me clarify. Brandon & Mary Claire brought their perfect little angel of a son with them to their session last week so that we could also do some family pictures and I fell in love. Braxton is the sweetest little baby boy! He reminded me so much of my Mason when he was a baby – fair skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, and big dimples!! I melted!!
It is officially engagement session….and fall!!! This was my first session of the year where the leaves were changing, t00, and we all loved it! For Kari & Daniel’s engagement pictures, we knew we wanted to do them in Richmond. That is where these two live and they love it there. The city has so many beautiful places and we wanted to showcase a couple of those.
Is it fall yet? Technically, yes, but I am going to need this weather to understand that we are over the 80 degrees. However, on the evening of this session, it was surprisingly cool, felt like fall, and then the sunrise was killer!! It was exactly what we wanted!
I can still remember the first time I met Cory & Lindsey…it was over coffee at Starbucks last winter and I immediately just loved them! I know that sounds cliche. Of course I did, or else I wouldn’t have booked them! But I called my husband as I was pulling out of the parking lot to tell him “We are going to really like these two!” Their excitement to get married and how much they loved each other was obvious!
