Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
I have two more weddings to share with y’all from this year! Today, I get to show off Emily & Cory! These two are such wonderful people and their day was a dream. I will never forget the moment after their ceremony, when Emily and Cory were walking over for family formals. Emily looked around with a huge smile on her face and said, “Today is perfect!” That right there made me want to cry for her!!
Cory and Emily are such sweet souls! I have known Cory since I was 11 years old, in the 6th grade. He is such a genuinely great guy. It is only fitting that he found someone as incredible and beautiful as Emily!! I told a little of their story in their engagement session post which you can see here. Basically, they met on a blind date and neither one of them was too optimistic about it. They weren’t expecting much. They definitely weren’t expecting to fall in love and get married – but here we are! Don’t you love how life works out that way? I love that they were totally caught off guard by each other. They fell quick and we are all glad they did!!
Emily fell in love with Burlington Plantation from the moment she saw it and knew it was the perfect place for their wedding. This is fairly new venue off of route 5. I love the history behind it and the colonial look it has. Burlington is so original! The grounds and all the different buildings are simply beautiful!
Emily and her girls started the day getting ready in the cottage. The cottage has a full kitchen and bedroom downstairs, along with the perfect room to get ready in with multiple vanity stations. The upstairs room is large enough for all of your girls to get ready in, as well! It was the perfect place for all the girls to get their hair & makeup done, relax with their mimosas, and enjoy their morning!
The open area in the back on the property is where Emily & Cory chose to have their ceremony. The weather was perfect that day! Warm enough for everyone to sit comfortably outside and enjoy their sunset ceremony. The floral archway was a show stopper! What an incredible pieces of floral art for them to say their vows under!! Over The Top nailed it!!
What got everyone though, was the look of pure joy on their faces as they saw each other for the first time. The smiles that never left as they exchanged rings and became husband & wife!!
After the ceremony, we walked around the grounds, taking photos of the newlyweds and giving them some time together before the reception. Those are my favorite moments!! Right before the party starts, right after you are officially married!! I love it.
The reception hall at Burlington Plantation is stunning. Seriously – such a show stopper. Every inch of that place is beautiful! Cory, Emily, & their whole wedding party made their entrance down the huge staircase and then the party began! The dance floor was filled until the very last seconds of the night. A couple cardboard cut-outs of Cory even made their appearance as the night went on (hysterical!!). Then, these two made their way off to a magical honeymoon!!
We loved being a small part of the biggest day of their lives!! It was such a special day and we are so happy for them!!
