David & Rachael are two people that you instantly love.  I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that!  If you know them, then you get it!  I met these two for the first time over FaceTime (oh, technology), then officially at their engagement session.  I said it then and I’ll say it now – they are amazing!  Both of them are so fun and laid back.  And they are CRAZY about each other!  You can see it in the way they talk about one another and look at one another.  It was just such a beautiful wedding day!

Rachael picked out beautiful details for her day – from all the gorgeous colors in her bouquets to her beautiful shoes – it was all perfect!  She even had special pieces worked into her day for people that she loves dearly who she has lost.  Rachael had placed a Redskins hat in the pew where her grandmother use to sit at church.  She also had pieces of each of her grandfathers’ shirt pockets cut into hearts & sewn onto the inside of her wedding dress.  As well as charms with her grandfathers’ pictures on them placed in her flowers.  Rachael & David are both very, very family focused so I knew she would have sweet things like this throughout her day to remember the ones she loves.

The reception venue was also just stunning!  I had been anticipating this wedding because it was my first time at  Ashton Creek Vineyard.  I had heard great things about it and seen beautiful pictures, so I had high hopes….and they did NOT disappoint.  It is beautiful!!  You would never know that you were just yards away from Jefferson Davis Highway!

It was such an honor being a part of this wedding day.  I was sad to see it end!!  Enjoy looking through Rachael & David’s wedding day!

Just strolling through a vineyard…no big deal!  I am SO grateful that Rachael & David trusted me and let me take them out at sunset to get some gorgeous photos of them.  It was super hot & humid when we arrived at the reception, and the sun was still pretty high.  I knew that their pictures would looks so much better if we waited a little bit.  I asked them if they would be okay with me taking them out of the reception for a few minutes later on and they said “absolutely!”  I think they made the right choice, don’t you?








This dress is amazing!!   Rachael was stunning in it – especially with that open back!
