Since I started taking photos as more than just a hobby, I have had a few families stick with me through it all.  My “style” has changed for the better over the years and become so much more consistent, thank goodness, and these people have stayed by me through that.  They loved their photos years ago, but I am sure they love their photos even more within the past year or two.  This beautiful girl you see, Clara, is a part of one of those families!

Clara has been on the blog a couple times already.  She is 6 months old and sweet as can be!  I have done many home newborn sessions, Clara’s was one of those, but I have done few milestone or family sessions at home.  Let me tell you something – I LOVE IT!  Can more people want lifestyle sessions in their home?  I’m talking – drinking your coffee together, cozied up together, reading books together – whatever!  I just love capturing people where they feel the most love.  Home is where the heart is, right?  (( that was cheesy, I know ))

We started this session off with Clara showing off her love for tummy time while hanging out on her mommy & daddy’s bed.  She was flashing me all the smiles and I loved it!  She is such a gorgeous baby girl! Those long lashes and baby blue eyes will steal your heart!  The pictures in Clara’s crib were such a fun idea, too!  Clara wore the same tutu her sister wore over 5 years ago during multiple sessions.

We ended the session in the living room with the whole family.  Kelly & Derek just moved into this new home – their forever home!  They spent months designing it and waiting for it to finish being built.  I know how excited they were to finally be in their home so it was extra special getting their family pictures taken there.  We even got the cutest photos of them being silly together, which we all know are my favorite shots!  Those are the ones I personally print on canvases for my own home because I just love the pure joy in peoples faces when they laugh.
