Justin & Maggie | A Soy Bean Field Engagement Session

It was just a few months ago that I met this great couple at a cute bakery in Petersburg.  I knew from those first few minutes that we were all going to have a good time!  They were laughing and joking with me from the start.  Justin told me all about how he proposed and Maggie joked about how she anticipated it multiple times but, when he actually proposed, she was shocked!  He knew he had to keep her guessing!  I think that is what makes their relationship so beautiful.  They both know each other SO well but still know how to keep each other guessing!  They know how to keep things fun!

That is exactly what this engagement session was – FUN!  Maggie insisted that they were both not photogenic and didn’t know how this was going to go but I knew she was wrong.  Just look at them!  They were complete naturals!  They are also incredibly sweet with each other, which melted my heart.  Whenever I would have them look at each other, one of them would whisper something cute to the other.  I kept hearing them say little things that would make each other giggle or Justin would make Maggie smile & laugh.  I just loved it!  You can’t fake this!  These two are so genuinely in love and it shows through how they interact!

I know I am gushing over them but I just love them!  We had the best time!  Between the huge trees, the soy bean fields, and Justin’s big truck…I just loved how this couple’s pictures turned out.  Now I am even MORE excited for the spring wedding.

Maggie & Justin – thank you for being so fun, laid back, and open to all of my crazy ideas!  You two are going to be stunning on your wedding day!

This session was the day before Hurricane Matthew sent us all that rain & the sky was completely white! It was crazy!  Not a speck of blue (or a bit of sunshine), but we were so thankful we got these pictures done before the rain & mud came!

We had to use Big Brown (Justin’s truck) in some pictures because she was looking so fancy just parked there!
