Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a portrait photographer living in Disputanta, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
After weeks of trying to get my blog to cooperate with me, I have finally hit publish on this wedding’s post!!! You. Guys. I can’t begin to tell you all the ways we love this couple!! I am guessing that, if you know them, you feel the same way. They are golden! They are gems! And best of all, their faces truly light up when the other is around. I’m serious. I literally teared up multiple times while editing these photos and I am sure you will be able to pick out those moments.
We met Kaley and Peter via a video call and they were so cute. We finally got to meet them in person at their engagement session in Washington D.C. back in June. We met at the Lincoln Memorial on a suuuuuper busy weekend. They were amazing and we had the best time walking around, getting to know each other, and taking such sweet pictures of them. They told us all about how they met on Tinder and never knew something like that could lead them to fall in love! They are truly best friends, compliment each other so well, and enjoy just being with one another. It is such a beautiful relationship to see.
Peter & Kaley’s wedding took place on Georgetown University. Anthony and I had never been there so we were super excited. The campus alone is just beautiful!! We did a lot of the photos on a rooftop and you could look over top of the campus. It was so neat!
Originally, Kaley and Peter did not want to do a first look. They ended up changing their mind and both were incredibly happy with that decision! Both of them were just anxious to finally be able to spend the day together. To see each other, to hug each other. Peter nervously waited on the rooftop, knowing he was about to see his stunning bride, while Kaley and I walked the long walk over to him. While Kaley was getting ready, she would mention how excited she was just to see him! She didn’t want them to be apart any longer! So, when we rounded that corner and she could see him facing away from her, waiting for her, she lit up!!
I wish you all could have been there. I wish you could have seen them. Peter turned around and his jaw dropped!! Kaley was smiling so big. Both of them instantly had tears in their eyes!! They went to each other and just hugged. I was crying…what’s new. He saw her in that stunning cap sleeve gown, with the perfect skirt for twirling. She saw him in his 3-piece suit, handsome as ever. We then spent the next hour with them and their wedding party, taking photos and joking around, before the ceremony began.
The entire wedding day was beautiful and so sentimental. Seriously, there were so many details throughout the day that made this day even more memorable. From Kaley’s mom secretly stitching a piece of her own wedding gown into Kaley’s dress, to family & friends being involved in the ceremony, to the center pieces at the reception representing places & things that hold meaning to the couple – it was all so special.
Enough of me talking about the day, why don’t you all just take a look!!
Kaley & Peter – y’all know we love you two and had the BEST time celebrating with you all!!! Congratulations and thank you both SO much for choosing us to capture this day!
