The title of this post may be deceiving because the new home is still under construction but that wasn’t going to stop the Flagg Family!  Dan & Jamie have been building their new home for months now and are definitely excited for it to be done early this spring.  However, they wanted their family Christmas photos by their tree and in front of their fireplace.  Jamie had this amazing idea to take photos in their home, especially because that is exactly what is happening in their lives right now!  We knew right away it would make for such a great Christmas card and I am ALWAYS game for Jamie’s ideas!

Jamie and Dan’s family photos are some of my favorites every year.  She has a such a vision and, when she tells me about it, I can see exactly what she is hoping for!  She IS an event planner so this comes naturally to her.  She has such an eye for detail. A few years ago, I took their family photos in their old home (which was gorgeous), then last year, we did their photos at a family farm (the wood stack picture is still one of my favorite pictures ever).  This year, we still kept it very personal to them by taking their photos in their new construction.

The Flagg’s set up a real tree and wreath right in their soon-to-be living room.  They have a rug laid out that will  also be placed in their new home soon enough.  It was such perfect setting!  And I know they can not wait for their home to be complete!  They have designed it to fit their family perfectly, down to ever last little detail.  This place is so very special to them.  Even Brooklyn knows that this is her home and loves exploring it!

I think it is so fun when clients have ideas for their sessions that truly make it personal to them.  Dan, Jamie, & Brooklyn will always treasure these pictures because they documented such an important part of their lives.  I love this family and their sessions are always so much fun!  I can’t wait for you to see their family photos!
