Chris | Senior Portraits | Colonial Heights VA Senior Photographer

I love senior sessions!  They are one of my favorite kind of shoots. High school seniors are at such an amazing place in their lives and most of them don’t even realize it! Ohhhh to be that age again (okay, okay…now I sound old). I feel for the mama’s at these sessions, though, and I know that it has to be the start of what’s going to be a very emotional year. My oldest is about to start kindergarten in less than a month so I can not even imagine what I am going to be like when she is starting her senior year. Emotional wreck sounds about right!

Chris is the youngest of 4 boys. I have known his parents literally my entire life!  When talking to Amy before the session, I kept saying that I just could NOT believe this was it. Chris is about to be a senior so Amy & Richard only have one more year of a kid in grade school. One more year of dances, pep rallies, fundraisers, etc. One more year of high school baseball! Chris and his brothers love baseball. They have played forever and are all very, very good! We started Chris’ session at the baseball stadium so he could get some shots in his catcher gear. I think those are my favorite shots. He is totally in his element and you can tell! After that, we went down to a creek in Colonial Heights. It is so pretty out there with the waterfall and rocks! I was nervous the entire time that I would slip and fall, which Chris said he would just laugh at. Typical guy!

I had a lot of fun hanging out with Chris & his amazing mama for his pictures! It usually takes guys a little bit to warm up to the idea of having their picture taken. It is not something they love to do, usually, so Chris was a trooper for me. He may have thought I was slightly crazy at times, but he went with it! He had me laughing the ENTIRE time, too! Check out some of the images from his session!
