Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a wedding & portrait photographer living in Prince George, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
We had quite a few firsts for us in our business this year and one of those was our first Christmas wedding!! We love Christmas and definitely think it is the perfect time of year to celebrate love and marriage! It is basically straight out of a Hallmark movie and we all know that I am all about that life.
Anthony and I first met Cameron and Megan during this exact week last year when I took their engagement photos. They fully embraced it being winter and wanted that woodland feel so….we look photos in the woods, of course! It was gorgeous and we could instantly see how much these two loved one another. Even when we weren’t taking photos, Cameron would still have his arm around Megan or she would be holding his hand. That stood out to me and I just loved it!
I got to see Megan over the summer, during a visit back from Hawaii (where they are stationed) while she was doing some planning, but I hadn’t seen Cameron since the engagement session last year. I was so excited for this day and see these two together! We walked into the venue – Noah’s Event Venue in Chesapeake – and we were blown away! This place is gorgeous!!
You would never anticipate how beautiful this venue is inside based on it’s surroundings. It is in an industrial park where buildings are very nice around it but there are businesses and parking lots everywhere. When you walk in the venue, though, they have a room with gorgeous white marble floors and wood beams in the ceiling, along with walls of windows that let in so much light. The reception area was a huge room with dark wooden floors, high ceilings, and stunning chandeliers. Then, add in all that Megan, Cameron, and their loved ones had done to the place and it took our breath away!
If you are getting married at Christmas, just embrace it! That is exactly what this couple did. Deep red napkins, gold linens, greenery, pine cones, sparkly lights – all of it! They did it in such a classy way but it felt so comfortable, almost like you were at a really fancy family dinner. Plus, majority of the decor was all DIY which made it extra special.
After all the decorating was done, Megan finished getting ready and she was stunning! Her dress, from Caryn’s Bridal in Farmville, was so original with a halter style neckline, then an open back, and the entire gown was covered in lace. The detail is so beautiful. Her girls wore deep red floor length dresses, keeping with the theme, and the men were all in gray suits with red ties and brown leather shoes. Such a classic look!
My absolute favorite thing about this wedding day, was the couple! I know that sounds obvious but I truly love these two and LOVE seeing them together! All day, they both wanted to make sure the other one was okay or had what they needed! They were constantly taking care of each other. At the very end of the night, when I was saying goodbye, Cameron came up and just randomly told Megan how beautiful she was (for the 27th time because he never let her go too long without hearing that!). Could they be any cuter!? No, no they could not!
Enjoy looking through this beautiful winter wedding! Megan & Cameron – thank you so much for choosing us to capture your day! We loved getting to the know of you and wish you both nothing but happiness!!
