Hi there! I'm Caiti and I am a wedding & portrait photographer living in Prince George, Virginia. I am a music loving, doughtnut eating, coffee drinking, mama of 2. This is the place where you can come to see my latest work with my beautiful clients and learn more about me, my husband, and our sweet babies. Take a look around and enjoy!
Let me interrupt wedding/engagement season with — a newborn session!!! A couple months ago, I met Kaitlyn and Chris to take their maternity pictures. In that moment, I’m sure the thought of meeting their son still felt surreal. Having your first child is something you can try to prepare for as much as you want, but you are never truly ready for that moment. You know the one…
Seeing that little baby for the very first time. You imagine it. You think about it, dream about it. You have all the diapers, wipes, blankets, bassinets, pacifiers, bottles (and the million other things people buy for babies these days) all at home, ready! None of that prepares you though. It takes the breathe right out of your lungs, doesn’t it?
It was like that for these two! All the nerves they felt leading up to that moment were gone once they saw little Carter. He instantly became their world!! Kaitlyn is a nurse in the nursery at a local hospital so she sees little newborns every day, but seeing her own little one was a whole new world.
Kaitlyn and I were laughing about how, as a nurse, she knows so much more about delivery than people not in the medical field so the things she worried about during labor & delivery, probably weren’t even on my mind when I was having my own babies. Anyone else in the medical field relate to this? Kaitlyn had a hundred things going through her mind and multiple different scenarios, but Carter was born a perfectly healthy baby boy!! Chris and Kaitlyn are crazy in love with this handsome little guy.
Carter’s session was so much fun! He was wide awake for part of it, just taking us in (probably wondering what in the world we were doing). He loved to be swaddled up tight but wanted his hands right by his face.
Scroll down to see this precious face, his super cute nursery, and even a few photos of Carter’s puppy giving him kisses.
Thanks for stopping by!
